Bob Whitehead has, from an early age, worked to use his artistic talents in celebrating Western Canada's wildlife heritage. As a young man in the Shuswap region of British Columbia, Bob sought the freedom of the forests and developed a deep love for nature. His fascination for wood led him to evolve from traditional drawing and painting toward the three-dimensional expression possible with carving.
Recognition of Bob's work is building as he exhibits throughout Western Canada. Bob's work has evolved in style and depth of artistic expression. The exquisite detail incorporated into his work has won special comment, and he has won awards at Juried Art Shows.
True to his roots, Bob has continued his attachment to the Shuswap, making a home with his wife and two children.
