Product lines include doors, signs, mantles, plaques and an original line, cutaways...where the negative space between the subject and the frame is cut away.
Commission pieces range in form and theme and are a welcome challenge for the carver. Each carving starts with an original drawing. For custom carvings, the artist works with the customer at this stage to fulfill their vision.
Most carvings are made of locally collected domestic woods including birch, fir, pine, cedar and spruce. Most wood is collected, dried and milled by the carver. Bob achieves great dimension from a limited amount of depth in his carvings. The realism in these pieces is enhanced by stain, using a unique shading technique.
